Integrated Grappling Arts (IGA)

Founded by the late Sifu Larry Hartsell, an original student of Bruce Lee, renowned instructor, body guard to the stars, and founder of the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association, Integrated Grappling Arts (IGA) is a hybrid system containing elements of several grappling arts studied and tested over the course of decades by “the premier Jeet Kune Do fighter of our time” (Sifu Dan Inosanto about Sifu Larry Hartsell). By combining techniques from systems such as Jeet Kune Do, Judo, Russian Sambo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Japanese Shooto, Filipino Dumog, Indonesian Silat and Catch as Catch Can Wrestling, Sifu Hartsell created a reality-based system focused primarily on fighting in the “grapping range”. IGA is a no-nonsense system of grappling and ground fighting that can be used to supplement nearly any other martial art style or can be trained as a stand-alone “system” offering a complete and effective means of self-defense.

Sifu Bo Jackson holds a Senior Apprentice Instructor ranking through the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association (Instructors Association) and has been actively training grappling arts for more than a decade. He teaches Sifu Hartsell’s IGA on Thursday nights from 8pm to 9pm and some Saturdays from 11am to noon. No uniform (Gi) is required and sessions are open to students from any system that want to learn. This system is offered exclusively at Tallahassee Integrated Martial Arts.
